Process

Creating a custom gown is a collaborative process between the designer and client where we work closely together to bring your vision to life. Ideally, we require six months or more to create the perfect piece and follow a process similar to the outline below:

1. Consultation

The custom design process begins with an initial consultation to better understand what you're looking for, your timeline, and design preferences. There is absolutely no obligation to go through with the project after a consultation as this is an opportunity for you to learn more about the studio and make the decision that's best for you. Submit your enquiry here.

2. Design + Measurements

After the initial consultation, we will get started on creating the design and taking all your measurements to develop the first sample.

3. Fitting

Each piece will have a sample made of simple fabrics to make initial fit adjustments before working on the final fabric. The number of fittings will depend on the complexity of design, but a typical piece will include around 4 fittings to get the gown perfectly tailored to you.

4. Finishing touches

Congratulations :) Once all the fittings are completed, your dress will be finished and ready to be picked up or delivered to you for your special day!
