Once old enough, Julianna expanded her training through a fashion trades program, studies in bra-making, and hands-on experience at a local tailor shop. It was there that she encountered bridal alterations for the first time. Working with the gowns she had once admired from afar, she moved into bridal full-time and later travelled to London to apprentice with a designer renowned for their corsetry and couture finishing. These experiences shaped her understanding of how structure and softness work together to support the wearer. Through them, she began cultivating a personal perspective in which construction and design are inseparable, allowing each garment to feel intentional from the inside out.
Today, that philosophy continues to guide every gown she creates. Julianna works closely with each client to shape a piece around their body and their story, approaching each project with intention, precision, and care. Every gown is crafted to be cherished for a lifetime — honouring the hands that build it and the person who brings it to life.
My story
It all started with a
red dress…
It all started with a red dress, if you could even call it that. Really, it was a tube of fabric Julianna hand sewed around her body one day after school. With no zippers or closures, it was hardly functional. But this totally impractical garment was the first dress Julianna ever sewed - and it became her obsession. From that moment, Julianna began teaching herself everything she could about sewing, piecing together skills from library books, YouTube tutorials, and Pinterest photos.
Over time, her curiosity only grew deeper. One day, she stumbled across an image of the inside of a Dior couture gown. With its built-in corsetry and meticulous internal structure, it revealed a world of craftsmanship she hadn’t yet imagined. To her, it felt like the highest expression of what garment making could be - and she was captivated all over again. This time, fascination gave way to a lasting devotion to the craft.
